ECO4

What is the ECO4 Scheme?

The ECO4 Scheme comprises grants available to homes that don’t have the income to install energy efficiency measures independently. This includes measures such as solar panels, heating systems such as heat pumps, and insulation. The aim of the Energy Company Obligation scheme, funded by some of the main energy providers, is to aid low-income or disadvantaged households to improve the energy efficiency of their homes to lower energy costs and carbon emissions. Free grants for measures such as solar panels, heating systems such as heat pumps, and insulation are available to eligible households.

ECO Plus

What is the ECO+ Scheme?

ECO+ (Energy Company Obligation) is a scheme to provide funding to help many more households become more energy efficient through grant-funded insulation measures and energy efficiency improvements. The £1 billion funding is intended to help bring down people’s energy bills  and reduce carbon emissions, and runs until March 2026. ECO mandates that energy suppliers provide support to those in low-income households, but also extends it to energy-inefficient households in lower Council Tax bands, in an attempt to help some of the most vulnerable households bring down their energy costs.

LA Flex

What is the LA Flex Scheme?

Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA Flex), is a branch of the government’s ECO scheme. LA Flex gives councils and local authorities the power to widen the eligibility criteria so that more residents, on top of those claiming benefits, can qualify for funding, usually on the basis of lower incomes, health, age, or area, allowing councils to better support specific communities. Energy Companies used to be capped at offering 25% of their obligation to be used through LA Flex, but this obligation cap has been raised to 50%, meaning more people who fall outside of eligibility criteria can be put up for consideration.

LAD Scheme

What is the LAD Scheme?
£500 million of funding was allocated to Local Authorities through The Local Authority Delivery Scheme, to help low-income households improve their heat retention and efficiency. The main aim of the LAD scheme is to increase energy efficiency in low-income and low-performing properties (those with energy performance certificate (EPC) ratings of E, F, or G, although some help may be available for ratings B and D, including homes that are off the gas network. Neither fossil fuel heating nor biomass heating are considered qualifying improvements under the terms of the scheme.

Check If you Qualify

We’ll contact you once you submit the online form to confirm that we have all the necessary details. First, fill out the form above to determine your eligibility and the eligibility of your boiler. In the event that you are chosen, we will walk you through the grant application procedure, which starts with a free survey conducted by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.

The engineer will schedule a suitable time for your survey so they can examine your home’s present heating system and energy efficiency. Your brand-new boiler will be installed by a Gas Safe certified and reliable installer after your ECO program application has been officially accepted and all the details have been worked out.

Then all that’s left to do is relax and take advantage of a more pleasant house and less expensive energy.

How does the process work?

After you’ve applied for a boiler grant by completing our online form we will need to give you a quick call to confirm that you meet all the necessary criteria. It will only take a few moments to assess your eligibility. We’ll need to check what benefits you receive, your annual household income, how many children are living in your home, and confirm your status (whether you’re a private tenant or own your own home).

We will also ask you for the make and model of your current boiler, the condition it is in and whereabouts it’s located. If you can have all of this information to hand when we ring we’ll be able to get your application processed a lot quicker where we can find installers with funding in your area. Then all that’s left to do is relax and take advantage of a more pleasant house and less expensive energy.
